Each theory in psychology developed out of a reaction to the theories that came before. It is this breadth of experience and ideas that help to broaden the scope of the human condition and bring cultural context to thought evolution and human existence.
Sadly, from the school systems I’ve encountered, both professionally and personally, Skinnerian thought and principles still provide the foundation for behavior shaping. It’s good to hear that this is not prevalent in the majority of schools.
